Max To Help Mitchell Run For President

Max Dumesny will crew for son Mitchell in this Wednesday night’s Presidents Cup at Avalon Raceway.
The Valvoline / GKR Transport Maxim will be seen in action at the Kings Challenge at Mt Gambier and naturally the Warrnambool Classic, but Dumesny Sr is switching to the spanners to assist Mitchell in his Presidents Cup endeavours.
“Mitchell shows a lot of heart,” admitted Max recently, “and that’s the sign of a good racer. If you never give in, and you’re always attacking that shows how bad you want to win. I’m really pleased with the way he’s going, he’s having a real go.”
Max’s assistance with his eldest son is a further extension of him loaning Mitchell the ex Kinser motor last weekend at PCR for the WSS final.
“We don’t use that motor much so I’m glad that we could help Mitch and he did so well with it,” recalls Max, “that was a fun race the other night.”
A “fun race” is one way of looking at it; a “night for the ages” might well be another.
Fans are still buzzing after seeing Dumesny Sr and Jr ‘go at it’ for lap after lap after lap in the WSS final at PCR last Saturday night.
This week the focus is still on a win for the Dumesny’s, though this Wednesday night the duo will join forces for Mitchell’s attempts at gaining the President’s honours.
“We’re back for Mt. Gambier and Warrnambool naturally,” admits Max, “but this Wednesday I’m looking forward to giving Mitch a hand.”
