Max’s Is Back For World Series Final

With a win under his belt last Sunday night at Toowoomba for the second last round and a strong showing in the preliminary night for the World Series Sprintcars final at Parramatta City Raceway last night, Max Dumesny is back in good form and race winning contention.

“I don’t think we’ve ever been out of form, we just haven’t had things fall our way,” admits the laconic 7 times WSS Champ, “but over the last few nights we’ve been right on the money.”

Max started the Valvoline / GKR Transport Maxim on pole in last night’s preliminary WSS main event at PCR and finished third behind a determined Skip Jackson and eventual winner Robbie Farr.

It was a busy night for the Dumesny family with Max’s team loaning a motor and then helping to effect it’s installation into son Mitchell’s Eagle One #77.

With the final of WSS looming tonight and Max’s battle with second placed overall Robbie Farr the prospect of a good result is certainly on the cards.

“To be honest it’s not about the Championship result for us now,” admitted Dumesny last night at the presentations, “we’re treating each night as an individual. There’s a lot of big races coming up over the next few weeks so we’re getting on top of this car for those.”
