Max And ‘christine’ Ready For Title

Legendary horror novelist Stephen King wrote a book, later to become a movie, about a car that was destroyed in a crash but that kept coming back to life to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting citizens.
The car was called CHRISTINE.
Interestingly enough, Max Dumesny’s new Maxim chassis was all but ‘killed’ up north last month in a freak accident that was all but enough to get the chassis thrown the bin.
“We decided to keep the car,” explains Max, “it just did so many things well right off the bat. We were all commenting on how fast the car reacted to the changes we made. It was pretty disappointing to throw a good car away like that.”
In the end, they patched it up and “Christine” was faster than ever, wreaking havoc on the field in the NSW Championships at Parramatta and claiming Max yet another major championship for his trophy cabinet.
This weekend is unfinished business for an entire field of teams in the Australian Sprintcar Championship and Max Dumesny is no different in the Valvoline Christine machine.
With Mouse Green wielding the spanners and Dumesny’s unrivalled experience in major events in this country, Max goes into tomorrow night with as much chance as anyone.
With the ghosts of the 25th anniversary year well behind him, the multiple Australian and WSS Champion is primed for an outstanding summer.
Christine seems to be hungry too
